Scotland’s answer to ROUTE 66
Created in 2014, a route of just over 500 miles, the route path follows the main road across the coastal edges of the North Highlands taking in the villages and towns of places like Ullapool, Durness, John O’Groats, Dornoch and Inverness.
The official route starts and ends at Inverness Castle, 25 miles North of Alba Highland Cottages.

The recommended itineraries take 5 to 7 days.
The cottages can be booked for short breaks Friday to Monday, Monday to Friday as well as Friday to Friday throughout the year out with the High Season (School Holidays) period when only Friday to Friday bookings are available.
You can relax before, after or both after the NC500 in the Cairngorm National Park, sample a Speyside Whisky or two and enjoy the wide variety of Outdoor Activities available in Speyside.
